Music in the Park.

The Stan Hagen Centre for Families participated in Music in the Park on July 9th at Majestic Park, July 16th at Bryden Park and July 23rd in Beckwith Park.

Music in the Park is a fun family event held on Tuesday Evenings in Saanich as part of the Saanich Sun Fest; with over 30 events held in various locations for families over the summer months.  This community driven event is a great opportunity for The Salvation Army to connect with the local Island community.

Further to, The Stan Hagen Centre was able to share details for the current Backpack and School Supply campaign.  If you would like to support the Backpack and School Supply   Drive, you can donate new supplies to participating Starbucks, FitnessTown locations or Salvation Army centre. To make a financial donation to the campaign, you can text GIVEBC to 4-5-6-7-8 ($5 will be added to your mobile bill), call 1-800-SAL-ARMY, or visit participating Staples locations.

If you are a parent who needs assistance with school supplies, or would like more information contact your local Salvation Army family services centre.

It was a great pleasure to participate in this year’s Music in the Park event and we would like to thank all the dedicated volunteers and staff who work to make these events hugely successful and those who came by to say hello!
