Kettle workers needed in Victoria

With less than two weeks until the Christmas Kettles are out on the streets ofVictoria, The Salvation Army is appealing to individuals or businesses who are community minded and looking for opportunities to get involved this holiday season.

The Christmas Kettles are the perfect opportunity get behind the shield and raise money for the local community. The Salvation Army is looking for people to stand on the street with a Kettle during the Christmas season. Every dollar that the Kettles raise stays in the local community and goes towards funding the programs offered by the Community & Family Centre onQuadra Street.

The Christmas Kettles will be out in the community starting November 17 for three days and then full time from November 24th until Christmas Eve.  The Kettles are out10am-5pm, Monday – Saturday.

The Bay Centre, BC Liquor Store (Shelburne St, and West Shore), Country Grocer (Esquimalt Rd., Royal Oak), Costco, Fairway Market (Gorge Rd., McKenzie Ave., Quadra St.), Future Shop, Great Canadian Casino, Great Canadian Wholesale Club, Hillside Mall, London Drugs (Yates St., Quadra St.), Market on Millstream, Mayfair Mall, PharmaSave (Oak Bay Ave.), Save-on-Foods (Blanshard St., West Side Village), Superstore, Thrifty Foods (Admirals, Colwood,  Fairfield, James Bay, Tuscany Village), Wal-Mart (Uptown, Langford), Winners, Safeway (Foul Bay Rd.)
