With approximately 400 more people this year compared to last, over 1500 people from Vancouver’s Downtown Lower Eastside community were served a wonderful meal on Christmas Day.  The traditional fixings included everything from turkey, cranberries and stuffing to dessert.

Doors were open from 10am – 2pm welcoming food line guests and in house clients with a definite festive spirit in the air as a result from the camaraderie from volunteers and guests alike, the music and holiday decorations!

As a final Christmas token, every guest in attendance left with a ‘sunshine bag’ – filled with chocolate, a new pair of socks, a candy cane and orange.
