What has become an annual holiday tradition in Vancouver and Victoria, featured a festive Christmas Concert by the acclaimed Naden Band of Maritime Forces Pacific in support of The Salvation Army Toy Drive.  Riveting and sing-along Christmas music filled the theatre along with the hearts of all those in attendance.  The Naden Band and very special guest vocalists, Ken Lavigne and Stephanie Greaves delivered a diverse musical repertoire of popular and traditional favourites … including a fun rendition of Naval Rock Medley!

Guests were encouraged to bring along a new toy to be donated to The Salvation Army Community & Family Services for distribution to those in need this Christmas.   Due to the kindness shown, hundreds of delighted children will wake up Christmas morning with eager anticipation as they unwrap the gifts found awaiting them.

Divisional Commander for The Salvation Army, Major Susan van Duinen, shared “I wish to express my sincere appreciation to Rear Admiral Nigel Greenwood and members of the Naden Band for the blessing they bring to us every Christmas, through the gift of music.”

The Salvation Army would like to share a sincere Thank You to our celebrity hosts – Jason Pires, Astrid Braunschmidt & Bruce Williams – in both Victoria and Vancouver along with our event sponsors – A Channel News, Thrifty Foods, The Hydrecs Fund, The Royal & McPherson Theatres Society, CTV and Country Grocer.

Thank you to all who were part of this special evening sharing in the joy of Christmas and music.
