And the best news is that Crafstman Collision is going to match each donated item!

WHEN: Saturday, September 19th, from 12pm-4pm

WHERE: Burnaby – PriceSmart Foods, 7501 Market Crossing (Marine Way) / Langley – PriceSmart Foods, 20151 Fraser Hwy / Surrey – PriceSmart Foods, 10312 King George Hwy / Vancouver – PriceSmart Foods, 2880 Bentall St. (Grandview Hwy)

WHAT: Craftsman Collision and PriceSmart foods are teaming up with The Salvation Army to ensure that no families go hungry this fall, by hosting a food drive at four PriceSmart foods locations in Metro Vancouver.

Craftsman Collision is pledging to match each donated item, which means that for every can of soup donated by a PriceSmart customer, two cans of soup will make it onto Salvation Army Food Bank shelves.

The Salvation Army has seen an increase in demand in every British Columbia community this year, as more families have come to rely on Salvation Army services to put food on the table.

On top of that, many food banks throughout the province have had trouble stocking the shelves, with fewer businesses and individuals being able to part with food donations in these difficult economic times.

“We’re thrilled to have Craftsman Collision and PriceSmart foods come on board to make sure our food bank’s shelves are well stocked for a busy fall,” says Major Brian Venables of The Salvation Army.

Upon entering participating PriceSmart locations, PriceSmart customers will receive a shopping list of ideal non-perishable food items to shop for and donate. The hope is that when the drive is complete, each location will have donated enough food to fill a Craftsman Collision courtesy car!

Everyone who makes a donation will receive an environmentally-friendly fabric shopping bag, courtesy of Craftsman Collision.
