JOB SUMMARY

The Finance Technology Support Analyst is a main contact and liaison between Finance users, external vendors and consultants and the Information Technology department with regards to all financial systems. The analyst will provide end user support to Finance staff and resolve system issues as quickly as possible to minimize down time and meet process timelines. They are responsible to maintain the account structure and update account tables and rules as required. The analyst will provide assistance in the implementation and testing of all system upgrades.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and update basic system parameters relating to accounting cycles to facilitate month-end/year-end activities (accounting period/posting cycles).
  • Respond to staff and user inquiries regarding Travel and Expense Management (TEM) functionalities and issues.
  • Research and resolve end user system problems in a timely manner.
  • Provide TEM functionality training to staff and clients.
  • Document and update TEM accounting procedures.
  • Develop and document training materials.
  • Create routine Agresso load files from TEM
  • Test user account changes to verify appropriate security is in place.
  • Add and update system parameters.
  • Assist in the implementation of system upgrades, testing new version releases to ensure functionality prior to Production updates and document changes for end users.
  • Act as the secondary support for the Financial system (Agresso)
  • Provide recommendations for budget needs.
  • Provide assistance in maintaining processes ensuring those in place are in line with current policies.

EDUCATION

  • Completion of college diploma or university degree in Commerce, Business Administration from an accredited program.
  • An acceptable combination of education, skills and experience may be considered.

EXPERIENCE

  • 1-2 years of prior related experience including business, end user training and support
  • Working in non-profit environment would be considered an asset
