On September 29, 30 CEOs in Winnipeg slept outdoors at Portage and Main to raise funds and awareness of what life on the street is like.

Armed with toques and sleeping bags, the group raised funds for its Downtown BIZs program, called Change for the Better, geared to reduce panhandling and homelessness. The goal of the program is to encourage people to stop giving spare change to panhandlers, which might encourage them to stay on the street and/or feed an addiction, and instead give money to social agencies, such as The Salvation Army that provide work programs and support to people in need.

Is it time to change your habits and mindset?
