Salvation Army Kettles Raise Funds for Haiti

The Saskatoon Salvation Army Week of Compassion for Haiti raised more funds than expected. From February 1 to 6, Salvation Army kettles were placed in various shopping mall and store locations around the city to collect money for the Army’s Haiti relief fund.

At The Salvation Army Sutton, Ontario, Youth Shelter, male and female clients receive a hand up rather than a hand out.
The shelter’s emergency and transition housing for homeless youth has served more than 800 people, ages 16 to 26, since its doors opened in March 2006.

OTTAWA, Jan. 27 /CNW/ – Salvation Army Emergency and Disaster Services staff were on hand for the second time this week to welcome Haitian evacuees and children bound for adoption by Canadian families upon their arrival at Ottawa International Airport.
