“It’s Time to End Poverty” Toronto Fundraiser

The Salvation Army in Toronto is hosting their annual It’s Time to End Poverty Fundraiser today. To get involved and help put an end to poverty one child, family and meal at a time, follow ‪#‎ItsTime‬ on Twitter or visit http://itstimetoendpoverty.ca

Members of the public are invited to 160 Jarvis Street to the Toronto Harbour Light Ministries on Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for a special media day with our friends from Bell Media (CP24, CTV Toronto, 104.5 CHUM FM, 99.9 Virgin Radio, 1050 TSN Radio and NEWSTALK 1010). The day will give The Salvation Army an opportunity to highlight how we're helping people struggling in the grasp of poverty. If you're not able to join us in person, please tune in either on TV, Radio or on-line.

A 7.1-MAGNITUDE earthquake has caused the collapse of buildings and other infrastructure in and around Mexico City. The epicentre was on the border between the states of Puebla and Morelos, around 120 kilometres from the Mexican capital. Toronto, ON November 23, 2016 – The Salvation Army has launched its 2016 Christmas Kettle Campaign. Now in its 126th year, the annual holiday campaign seeks donations from the public to help The Salvation Army assist millions of Canadians living in poverty. With one in 10 Canadians struggling to make ends meet, The Salvation Army’s advertising campaign focuses on the fact that “Poverty isn’t always easy to see, especially during the holidays.”
