Salvation Army Thrift Store Opening Attracts Huge Crowds

Howard Olsen was the very first customer of the new Salvation Army Thrift Store in Aldergrove on Saturday morning, purchasing a large piggybank.

There was a huge turnout for the store opening with long line-ups of happy customers at the cash registers. All proceeds from the store will go to the Salvation Army’s Gateway of Hope transition housing in Langley City.

It is common for children to have difficulty controlling their emotions.

Nicole, 11, got in lots of fights at school. Lindsay, 13, pushed people. Today, with help from The Salvation Army’s Red Cap anger management program in Dartmouth, N.S., they have developed appropriate responses to anger-provoking situations and have confidence in their ability to control their emotions.
