How You Can Help Make Thanksgiving Special

Thanksgiving won’t be a happy time for more than three million Canadians living in poverty.

But for those of us who lead comfortable lives, Thanksgiving can be a time of giving back.

The Thanksgiving season presents the perfect opportunity for you to donate your time, skills, or resources to those who are less fortunate. You can:

• Have a fall cleaning day and donate your gently used items
• Ask family members to bring canned goods to Thanksgiving dinner and make a donation on behalf of your family
• Invite someone to your Thanksgiving dinner who has now where to go or no one to spend Thanksgiving with
• Hold a neighborhood food drive for a day, or a week

Every little bit makes a difference and anyone can be a hunger hero.

Are you giving back this Thanksgiving?
