This Christmas, families and individuals in Fort McMurray who were affected by the wildfires in May are starting from scratch and The Salvation Army is offering practical support to help.

TORONTO, December 14, 2016 ― On Saturday, December 17, Walmart Canada will match donations made by individuals to Salvation Army Christmas kettles located in its stores nationwide up to a maximum of $100,000.

In addition, Walmart Canada will contribute $80,000 to CTV Toy Mountain in Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver and Winnipeg. This will support the purchase of new toys that will be distributed to children in need this Christmas.
