It's 7:45 am, rise and shine campers! Okay, so those of us on the PR team were not at Pine Lake Camp that early but we did arrive just as bible study was finishing up and “options” was starting. Options happens twice a day as the kids are divided into groups to participate in climbing, low ropes, arts and crafts, mini golf, or canoeing. So that is where we joined in.

We got to talk to a number of kids. […]

Raising $1M might seem like an impossible goal for a golf tournament, but our annual Supreme Group Salvation Army Golf Classic was up for the challenge. In 2010, a committee of community-minded people, led by John and Sally Leder of Edmonton-based Supreme Group LP, set a multi-year goal to raise $1M toward a much needed new Addictions & Residential Centre (ARC) in Edmonton. The funds raised at this year’s tournament on June 2 resulted in that $1M goal being reached […]

On April 29th, an enthusiastic team of women in orange T-shirts appeared at The Salvation Army’s Community and Family Services (CFS) in Edmonton and, on that one day, demonstrated the true spirit of community involvement and corporate partnership.

Our story starts a few weeks ago when Major Carolyn Hale, Executive Director of CFS, was contacted by Home Depot. In a conversation that was almost too good to be true, they asked if there were any renovations needed that they might be […]
