2012 marks the 130th year of The Salvation Army in Canada, and we’ve been celebrating!

In Calgary on July 2nd, over 2000 doughnuts were enjoyed as we celebrated at Heritage Park. Visitors shared how people working and serving in The Salvation Army, along with the many social programs offered, had positively impacted their loved ones over the years. On June 30th, at Fort Edmonton Park in Edmonton, 1000 dougnuts were given out on the train platform for visitors to enjoy and share in our celebration.

Our historical display with some old uniforms and photos was a big hit, and some of the Park actors staged an Open Air service outside of the Saloon, with testimony and singing from that period.

Thanks to all who participated, and enjoyed the day with us!
