Canada’s Ongoing International Support

While unimaginable devastation and living conditions continue to numb the world The Salvation Army in Canada & Bermuda continues to help those most vulnerable approach the future with hope.

• The Canada and Bermuda territory is sending US$60,000 to the Philippines to support emergency relief work following recent floods in Metro Manila and nearby Provinces. This donation will provide food to those who have been displaced.

• US$61,259 has been sent to Zimbabwe in response to their drought relief efforts. This will provide 600 families in six districts with food packs (maize, beans, matemba-which we believe to be dried fish, salt and cooking oil) and drought-resistant seed packs.

Active in more than 120 countries, and in some of the poorest communities, The Salvation Army’s mission is the same in every land— to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of individuals and communities.

The Salvation Army is a leader among the world’s non-governmental social service and emergency relief agencies. The Army’s mission and success allow it to cooperate with international relief agencies and individual governments around the globe to meet people’s needs.
