A Hand of Compassion in the Midst of Horror

Roy Langer had seen it all. And he figured he could handle it.

It turned out this veteran Salvation Army officer – who specializes in disaster relief and had seen horrors ranging from the 1992 Westray mine disaster to 9-11 in Manhattan to Hurricane Katrina – is only human.

And that’s one of the key messages he brought to the army’s Dignity Luncheon in Regina Tuesday.
