Charity Motorcycle Ride Helps Homeless

B.C. The two Langleys are teaming up again for an event that will combine aiding the homeless with sleek motorcycles.

“It’s about making a difference in our own backyard,” said Langley City Mayor Peter Fassbender, an avid motorcyclist.

The event is to raise money and awareness for the Salvation Army’s Gateway of Hope shelter. Located in Langley City, the shelter works to aid the homeless, and those who are simply having trouble making ends meet. It includes an overnight shelter for those who need to get off the street, a long-term housing program for people getting back on their feet, and training and health programs.
