The Salvation Army in Comox Valley says community need is at an all-time high, for the services provided by its Pidcock House Emergency Shelter. Over the past five years, there has been a 74% increase in the number of people staying at Pidcock House.
“2011 was a very long and a very cold year in the Comox Valley. Hundreds of individuals and families struggled to make ends meet and a record number of people turned to our emergency shelter for relief from the cold,” says Community Ministry Director, Brent Hobden.
I hear that the shelter is going 24-7 like the campbell river shelter.
I am moving to comox and I am looking for a job in the valley.
Has the courtneay shelter have any openings and any coming up soon??? I have worked at the campbell river evergreen shelter for the past 5 years and enjoy the work. Please contact me at 2502027355.
Thank You
