Motivation to complete a run on a cold December morning has got to be pretty strong for Maritimers. The runners, walkers and shufflers participating in the Salvation Army Santa Shuffle Saturday had jolly old Saint Nick near the finish line, doling out high fives, and steamy hot chocolate awaiting them inside the Centennial Park tennis club building.
And the 5 km route, and 1 km elf walk for children, were for a good cause – the Greater Moncton Salvation Army’s Christmas Assistance Program.
