Montreal, December 18, 2009 – Rock singer Eric Lapointe has offered to mix music with generosity by inviting a Salvation Army band to the tenth Lapointe Christmas Party.
The Army’s musicians will entertain the impatient crowd waiting in frigid temperatures to enter the concert halls of the Métropolis de Montréal on December 19 and the Albert Rousseau Hall in Quebec City on December 23.
To maintain the high spirits of the star’s fans, Salvation Army volunteers will pass out free hot drinks.
People waiting outside can also deposit money in the famous Christmas kettles of The Salvation Army.
Funds raised will be used to supply the practical needs of disadvantaged families and people staying in Salvation Army shelters.
