I was very disappointed to learn that the Langley and Abbotsford Salvation Army Human Shelters are NOT 'PET FRIENDLY'!!!

Please explain why not.

Please change your policy and make all of your human shelters 'Pet Friendly' so humans and their pet(s) can stay intact as a family (together).

I have worked since Feb 1982, never missed a day of work till now. Never collected UI.or EI Never asked for any assistance, financial, goodwill or otherwise. Worked at least 10-14 hours a day for a good part of my working life. Contributed more than my fair share to the system. My track records can vouch for that.

I am about to be made homeless on Sept 12. I am couple of months short of 65. But I still want to work and contribute till taking my last breathe.

I need a transition to get back on my own two feet. I wanted to be trained in the hospitality industry - chef preferably because I have inherent inborn passion for it. I am healthy and still very physically able and retirement was never on my mind at time moment in time until I am struck down with some unforeseen illness.

How can I get access to any aid that your organization can offer.

Many thanks

I am currently staying in the shelter. This facility is way beautifull. Food is very good and plentifull and the staff very kind and helpfull. The sally ann spent a fortune on this place. The men and women upstairs in the oppertunities program have nothing but good things to say when I enquire as to whether this may be "the missing link" in my recovery process. Thanks staff and volunteers for your smiles and encouragements

I am so happy that Gary Johnson had a vision and stepped up and went for his dream and tht is to give care and love too all humans. I am so proud of Gary. He gave me my first start at Harbour Light , I needed $180.00 to start school, with out the money I would of had to wait a year. Because of this I am a certified Addiction and Family counselor, I co-run two SRH based on the 12 Step model of recovery focusing on Crime Addiction in Vancouver and have been 6 yearts clean and sober & Crime Free because of the 12 steps to Crime Addiction Anonymous meetings & Blessings from god. So I know frist hand the love the Ct. will recieve at the GateWay of Hope and I am a living example of the good change will do in recovery if you make the right choices.
Keep up the great work gary and staff at Gateway of Hope.

Happy New Year! As the relatively new children's director at our church here in Fort Langley, I would love to offer a service opportunity or two over the period of Lent (Feb/March) that would engage parents of small and school aged children working alongside each other in service to those in the area of Langley. I would LOVE to hear back from someone in volunteer coordination about specific needs/opportunities you may have and arrange a time for a visit to your facility,. Thanks for being a beacon of light in Langley.
