“While at Ground Zero I met The Salvation Army for the first time. I was part of a forensic team identifying remains of victims of the 9/11 attack on New York. No training could have prepared me for the devastation I saw.
“I was emotionally and physically drained when The Salvation Army gave me a much needed cup of coffee. It’s hard to believe how much this meant to me, a stable, successful dentist.”
But, The Salvation Army is more than a cup of coffee. Through direct, compassionate hands-on service it’s help for today and hope for tomorrow for 1.5 million Canadians every year.
