TORONTO – Sept. 16, 2008 – For a number of years, Blue Jays President and CEO Paul Godfrey has been spokesperson for The Salvation Army’s National Recycling Operations. Paul and the Blue Jays organization have donated their time and resources to support a variety of Salvation Army programs and services.

On September 16, Salvation Army night with the Blue Jays, Commissioner William W. Francis publicly thanked Paul and the Blue Jays for their ongoing generosity and support.

Commissioner Francis was happy to throw the ceremonial first pitch and Steven Cooper, a member of The Salvation Army Oshawa Temple corps, sang the National Anthems.
