Territorial Leaders Visit the Maritimes

comm_maritime.jpgSalvationists on Cape Breton Island were pleased to host the Territorial Commanders, Commissioners William and Marilyn Francis on their initial visit to the Maritime Division. Supported by divisional leaders, Majors Larry and Velma Martin, the capacity crowd that gathered for worship at Sydney Community Church on Sunday, Sept 7, was inspired and encouraged by testimony, music and the spoken word. The congregation was also pleased to welcome Mayor John Morgan of the Cape Breton Municipality.

The Francis’ made a quick visit to DHQ prior to gathering for Officers’ Council at Scotian Glen Camp. Dramatic and dynamic presentations are their hallmark and their passion quickly engages their audience. The worship together was deeply meaningful. The focus on our global Army held a poignant challenge and the opportunity for personal reflection and renewal was rewarding.
