The week of April 15 is National Volunteer Week in Canada. In Halifax, William Black, former CEO of the Maritime Life Assurance Company, is volunteering his time and expertise to head up a capital campaign to raise 3 million dollars. This is the sum needed to upgrade facilities at The Salvation Army’s Addictions Rehabilitation Centre in Halifax and the Scotian Glen Camp in central Nova Scotia. We ask him “Why?”
