Harriet Smith is the Children’s Counselor at The Salvation Army’s Honeychurch Family Life Resource Centre in Brampton, Ontario – a shelter for abused women and their children. With National Child Day being observed on November 20, Harriet talks about the trauma of children who have witnessed the abuse of their mother and, perhaps, suffered abuse themselves.
