Sporting Christmas a gift that keeps giving

Saskatoon, SASK – The timing couldn’t be better.

A week from today is Remembrance Day and it’s when we launch the 31st annual Sporting Christmas campaign on behalf of the Salvation Army.

Starting in 1976 when The StarPhoenix sports department began the fundraising drive and donors gave $8,345, through to last year when $66,203 was contributed, the grand total is $749,417. The Sally Ann uses the money to provide Christmas hampers to Saskatoon families. Read full article…

  1. i think what the sally anne does is great ,,but i think should check with other churches if possible or other drives for people scamming various hampers,,i know of some one who did this and makes me sad as i have nothing for my kids this xmas,and she has toys from hampers and what she has bought she;s been doing this for 2 yrs or more.I could have asked for help from sally anne but have no way there to pick up or apply as i live out of city.Merry Christmas to all,,
