The World Cup of Football (soccer) is the world’s largest sporting event outside the Olympics, and Germany will host the 2006 tournament from June 9 to July 9. For the duration of the event, Germany’s evangelical churches will be engaged in a large outreach project, and The Salvation Army will be a significant player.
